I had a dental emergency and they got me in incredibly quickly. What shocked me most was that the abscess I had wasn’t even caught by my previous dentist, but Dr. Boersma diagnosed it right away and took care of it. I ended up needing a root canal, which honestly terrified me because I have major anxiety about dental work. But the entire experience was amazing and completely pain-free. The freezing worked perfectly, and I didn’t feel any pain during the procedure at all. Dr. Boersma is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and clearly knows exactly what he’s doing. He walks you through every step of the process and explains everything in a way that really puts you at ease. He answered all of my questions patiently and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. The staff are just as wonderful. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and they truly go out of their way to make you comfortable. They even offered me a blanket while they were working on my teeth, which was such a thoughtful touch. Rose, Dr. Boersma’s wife, is the sweetest person ever. She makes you feel like family the moment you walk through the door. The office itself is beautiful and extremely clean, which also makes a big difference when you’re feeling nervous about dental work. If you have dental anxiety or just want a dentist who genuinely cares about their patients, I can’t recommend this place enough. He recently performed dental work for me, including a crown, and took the time to walk me through every step of the process with compassion and clear explanations, which immediately put me at ease. He is kind, caring, patient, encouraging, and extremely meticulous in his work. I need to return for additional dental work, and for the first time, I can honestly say I’m no longer anxious about it. I cant say enough good things abt Dr Boersma & his staff, Rose & Carolyn. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by his receptionist, Rose, & treated like part of the family. The atmosphere is incredibly clean & relaxing which makes a difference when going to the dentist. Dr Boersma is amazing at what he does-especially when it comes to freezing. You honestly don't even feel the needles goin in. He explains everything as he's doing it, which really helps put you at ease. I used to need gas for dental work, but don't anymore. I've fallen asleep during procedures & Dr Boersma has actually had to wake me while working on my teeth, even if pulling them. He truly goes above & beyond what other dentists do. I originally was a patient of his in his old workplace in smithville but I followed him to his new office because I appreciated the care & treatment I received. Rose, his wife & receptionist is wonderful as well! She works hard to accomodate your needs where she can helps make dental care as affordable as possible. They are very patient orientated here and will help you with anything that you need. They were quick to respond to me and booked me in quickly. I required a a very challenging restoration.
