Comprehensive Dental Care Program (CDCP) at Bridge Dental Centre

The Comprehensive Dental Care Program (CDCP) is a countrywide initiative designed to reduce financial barriers to professional dental care for Canadians. This government-funded program, managed by Health Canada, provides access to essential oral health services, simplified treatment planning, and personalized care.

What is the CDCP?

The CDCP offers dental coverage to eligible Canadians, making it easier to maintain oral health without financial strain. Bridge Dental Centre proudly accepts CDCP benefits to help improve access to quality dental care in our community.

What Services Are Covered?

The program covers a variety of essential dental services, including:
Preventive Care – Cleanings, fluoride treatments, and dental sealants
Diagnostic Services – Exams and X-rays
Restorative Treatments – Dental fillings
Endodontic Care – Root canal treatments
Prosthodontics – Complete and partial dentures
Periodontal Care – Deep scaling for gum health
Oral Surgery – Tooth extractions

Who Qualifies for CDCP?

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a Canadian resident without private dental insurance*
  • Have filed a tax return for the previous year
  • Have an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000

*Note:
Patients with existing government-funded dental coverage (federal, provincial, or territorial) may still qualify for CDCP.

When Can You Apply?

Starting in 2025, all eligible Canadians can apply for coverage under the program.

What Does the Plan Cover?

CDCP covers a percentage of treatment costs based on income:

  • 100% coverage – Adjusted family net income under $70,000
  • 60% coverage – Adjusted family net income between $70,000 and $79,999
  • 40% coverage – Adjusted family net income between $80,000 and $89,999

Important: The CDCP fee schedule may differ from our clinic’s pricing. You may need to pay an additional fee if:

  • The cost of your treatment exceeds the CDCP’s reimbursement limits.
  • You choose services that are not covered under the program.

How to Apply

Eligible Canadians can apply through the Government of Canada or with the help of a trusted friend or family member.
