Dr. Andre Boersma
Born and raised in Hamilton, Dr. Boersma has deep roots in the greater Hamilton area, where he lived for 40 years. After completing his primary and secondary education locally, he earned a four-year degree in Specialist Biology from the University of Toronto Mississauga. He then pursued his passion for dentistry at the State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating near the top of his class.
Dr. Boersma’s journey into dentistry began at the young age of 14 when he started working in his father’s dental office. This early exposure provided him with hands-on experience in various aspects of dentistry, from dental lab work to chairside assisting. It was here that he learned the importance of teamwork and patient care, values that he continues to uphold in his practice today.
Dentistry is truly a family legacy for Dr. Boersma. His father, Dr. John Boersma, and uncle were respected dentists; his cousin an orthodontist, and his sister and aunt were dental hygienists. This rich heritage reflects a commitment to excellence Dr. Boersma proudly continues in his practice.
With 26 years of experience in family dentistry in Smithville, Dr. Boersma can execute complex restorative treatments, always putting your needs and comfort first. He believes in clear communication, ensuring you fully understand your oral health condition and feel confident in your care. As Bridge Dental Centre grows, we plan to expand the range of services offered to provide convenient centralized care when possible and in your best interest.
Dr. Boersma’s deep understanding of Hamilton and Stoney Creek’s cultural diversity is more than a professional advantage. Dr. Boersma is a devoted family man; he and his wife, Rose, are proud parents to five wonderful children: Immanuel, Gabriel, Angel, Israel, and Raphael. When he’s not caring for patients, you’ll find him spending time with family and friends, enjoying water sports, leading music at church, or tending to his garden. These personal passions help him build genuine connections with his patients, offering a glimpse into the man at the helm of Bridge Dental Centre.

Hello! I’m Rose Boersma, the office administrator at Bridge Dental Centre, and I’m thrilled to be part of this amazing family business alongside my brilliantly skilled husband, Dr. Andre Boersma. Together, we’ve poured our passion into creating something truly special—a dental practice where every patient feels like they’re walking into a home filled with warmth, care, and smiles.
When I’m not at the office, I’m juggling my other full-time roles as a mom of five (yes, five!) and a “domestic engineer extraordinaire,” according to my husband. From managing schedules to mastering the art of multitasking, I wear more hats than I can count!
But for me, Bridge Dental Centre isn’t just a job— It’s about building a space to support healthier, happier lives for everyone who walks through our doors. My deep love for family, service, and community well-being is at the core of everything I do. I believe in care beyond dental health—it’s about nurturing overall wellness and positively impacting the lives of those around us.
